3DR Architects Ltd was founded in 2010 by Jonathan Hughes, the Director and sole practitioner of the Company.

Since the Company was started over 200 extensions and numerous individual houses have been completed, or are at varying stages of development. Jonathan Hughes is a fully qualified RIBA registered Architect with over 20 years post qualification experience. Jonathan has worked on a number of different types of projects throughout his career, including:

• Sporting facilities

• Care homes

• Various large and small scale residential and commercial projects.

3DR Architects have established a collaborative partnership with Alan Munro of Amber Architecture Ltd. Alan is the sole owner and practitioner of Amber Architecture. He has over 40 years experience in both local authority and private architectural practice, where he has worked across all sectors, with particular expertise in the residential, care and leisure.

In a building project this can manifest itself in many different forms:-

• In terms of the layout it is configuring the spaces in not just the most efficient way but also the most impactful. For instance, this may mean introducing single story elements with high ceilings and roof lights for the most important rooms.
